What is included in the retreat?

Your retreat experience includes lodging, all meals and snacks, activities, and supplies for any planned projects or events. Everything is designed to be relaxed and all-inclusive, so you can simply show up and enjoy.


How do I register?

To reserve your spot, please complete the registration form and then proceed to checkout. Submitting the form alone does not complete your registration—your spot is only secured once checkout is finished.


What is the payment schedule?

A deposit is required to reserve your spot, with the remaining balance split into additional payments. Payment details and due dates will be provided after registration.


What is the cancellation policy?

Deposits are non-refundable, as they secure your spot at the retreat. However, you are welcome to transfer your spot to another guest if you’re unable to attend.


How is the featured book chosen?

Guests will vote on the featured book during registration. Once registration is complete or the retreat is sold out, votes will be tallied and the selected book will be announced via email. Guests are encouraged to read the book prior to the retreat so we can enjoy a group discussion together during the weekend.


Do I have to participate in all activities?

Not at all! All activities are optional. You’re welcome to join in as much or as little as you’d like—whether that means participating in everything or simply relaxing with a good book.


Can I come alone?

Absolutely! Many guests attend solo, and the retreat is designed to be welcoming and low-pressure. You’ll quickly find yourself among fellow book lovers.


What meals are included?

All meals, snacks, and beverages are included. There will be plenty of options available throughout the day to ensure no one goes hungry, along with a few sweet treats along the way.


Can dietary restrictions be accommodated?

Simply Sweet Retreats aims to accommodate dietary needs, allergies, and food restrictions whenever possible with advance notice. Guests should include this information on the registration form. If you have specific concerns, please reach out via email prior to registering.


Will I know the menu in advance?

Menus are typically a surprise and are often inspired by the featured book. However, dietary needs and restrictions will always be taken into consideration.


What are the sleeping arrangements?

Each guest will have their own bed. Room layouts may vary by venue, so specific details will be on individual retreat info pages. Simply Sweet Retreats will do their best to keep groups together, if mentioned on the registration form.


Will I have my own room?

Private rooms are not guaranteed. Rooms are shared, but every effort is made to thoughtfully assign spaces and keep groups together whenever possible.


Are linens and towels provided?

Linen availability will vary by venue. Some locations provide bed linens, while others may require guests to bring their own. Guests should plan to bring their own bath towels and personal toiletries. Full details will always be included on the retreat page and in the packing list sent prior to the retreat.


What if I have specific sleep needs?

Guests with specific sleep-related needs—such as requiring access to an outlet for a CPAP—are encouraged to reach out via email in advance so arrangements can be made whenever possible.


What should I bring?

A full packing list will be sent prior to the retreat. In general, plan to bring comfortable clothing, personal toiletries, and anything that will help you relax and enjoy your stay.


When will I receive final details?

Final details, including the address, packing list, and featured book announcement, will be sent via email no later than 30 days prior to the retreat date.
